What is Structured Cabling? The Foundation of Every Connected Building.
The Approach

What is Structured Cabling? The Foundation of Every Connected Building.

A structured cabling system is the unified, standards-based wiring infrastructure that carries voice, data, video, and building-control signals throughout a facility. It includes horizontal cabling from the telecom room to each work area, vertical backbone cabling between floors or buildings, patch panels, cross-connects, equipment racks, pathways, and labelled termination hardware.

Unlike point-to-point wiring, a structured system is designed as a single organized plant - so any outlet can be reassigned to any service without pulling new cable. Moves, adds, and changes are done at the patch panel in minutes instead of in the ceiling in hours.

At Cable Weave Inc., every copper installation follows commercial best practice from pathway design through termination. We map cable routes to avoid EMI, maintain proper bend radius, observe pull tension limits, and ensure correct separation from power lines. Each cable run is individually tested with a CableAnalyzer.

What Cable Weave Delivers

Greenfield design and installation for new construction and tenant fit-outs. Cat6, Cat6A, and Cat6A shielded copper cabling - the right category for the application and the building's 20-year roadmap. OS2 single-mode and OM4 / OM5 multi-mode fibre backbones between floors, buildings, and IDFs. Pre-manufactured MPO/MTP trunk assemblies for high-density environments.

Open-frame and cabinet rack builds with vertical and horizontal cable management, grounding, and environmental monitoring. Telecommunications rooms (TR), main distribution frames (MDF), and intermediate distribution frames (IDF) built to commercial pathway and space practice.

100% channel and permanent link testing with a CableAnalyzer - every cable, every port. Clean labelling, colour-coded patch cords, and a full as-built documentation package.

What We Deliver

Cable Categories We Install

Talk to an Engineer
Cat5e cable installation

Cat5e

1 Gbps at 100 MHz over 100 m. Cost-effective for basic office connectivity, IP phones, and security cameras in smaller environments.

Cat6 cable installation

Cat6

1 Gbps (10 Gbps to 55 m) at 250 MHz. Our most-deployed category for commercial offices, retail stores, and multi-tenant buildings.

Cat6A cable installation

Cat6A

Full 10 Gbps at 500 MHz over 100 m with improved alien crosstalk performance - the recommended standard for data centres, hospitals, and future-proof enterprise campuses.

Cat7 cable installation

Cat7

10 Gbps at 600 MHz, individually shielded pairs (S/FTP). Specified for high-interference industrial environments, broadcast facilities, and shielded clean rooms.

Cat8

25-40 Gbps at 2 GHz over 30 m. Top-of-rack and switch-to-server links inside data centres - short, high-throughput backbones.

How It Works

Our 4-Step Process

STEP 02
STEP 03
STEP 04
STEP 05
STEP 06
STEP 07
01

Site Survey

Walk the space, identify pathways, obstructions, and fire-rated barriers, and confirm drop locations with the end-user - not just the floor plan.

02

Engineered Design

Drop schedule, rack elevations, pathway routing, TR/IDF layouts, bill of materials, and a drawing set your GC and electrician can build against.

03

Coordination

Align with electrical, mechanical, ceiling, and drywall trades so cable pulls happen in the right sequence - before ceilings close and after power is safe.

04

Rough-In

Pull, route, and support cable in open ceilings and walls. All cables bundled, fire-stopped at penetrations, J-hooks or cable tray - never on ceiling tile.

05

Termination & Dress

Punch down to patch panels and outlets, label clearly, dress racks, and lace cable bundles.

06

Test & Certify

Every link tested with Fluke DSX. Failures re-terminated or re-pulled until the entire plant passes.

07

As-Built Hand-Over

Floor plans with outlet IDs, rack elevations, test result PDFs, warranty registration, and a close-out package your IT team can actually use.

Why Cable Weave

Why Choose Cable Weave for Structured Cabling

Every project is designed for performance, documented for clarity, and installed to last.

01

Trained Installers

Every technician is trained to current commercial install practice - not the install habits of a decade ago.

02

100% Fluke DSX Tested

Every single cable is tested. No exceptions. Failures get re-terminated or re-pulled before hand-over, never patched over.

03

Trusted Manufacturer Partners

CommScope, Panduit, Belden, Leviton - covering both components and workmanship.

04

Fixed-Scope, Drawing-Backed Quotes

No hourly creep, no change-order fishing. We survey the site, draw it up, and price it once.

05

Documented As-Built Deliverables

Floor plans with outlet IDs, rack elevations, test PDFs, and an asset register your IT team can actually use.

06

Multi-Site GTA Coverage

One PM owns Mississauga, Brampton, Vaughan, Markham, and GTA-wide deployments - every site built identically.
